Dental Technology
Dr. Andrew Bock is committed to ensuring our patients have access to the very best prosthodontic care available, and this means keeping up with the most advanced treatment tools and technology available in the industry. That’s why Northern Colorado Prosthetic Dentistry is outfitted with some of the best dental technology available.
Advanced Prosthetic Dentistry With State-of-the-Art Technology
SprintRay 3D Printer
Our in-office SprintRay 3D Printer allows us to speed treatment times for several patients with the ability to design and print a variety of dental appliances, in addition to dental implant surgical guides, right here in our office.
Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) Scanner
CBCT scans are a highly useful diagnostic imaging tool used by prosthodontists to thoroughly evaluate bone structure prior to designing dental prosthetics for patients and while assessing a patient’s candidacy for dental implants. With CBCT scanning technology, we can see thorough images of our patients’ maxillofacial structures. This allows us to design and manufacture dental appliances that fit comfortably and work perfectly.
Digital Impressions
Before digital oral scanning capabilities, it was necessary for patients to sit uncomfortably with trays of molding putty in their mouths to make physical dental impressions that allowed dental appliance manufacturers to design, personalize, and make dental appliances. Today’s digital impression process is much simpler, faster, more accurate, and more comfortable.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays offer several benefits over traditional film x-rays:
- They have much faster exposure times which means less exposure to x-ray radiation.
- They’re immediately available for viewing which means immediate diagnosis.
- They’re also easily shareable via digital files, and this simplifies the process of updating the records of referring doctors.
